What Is a Pharmacists Job?

Working at a Pharmacist's JobA pharmacist's job involves filling prescriptions for medications that are prescribed by a physician.   When we take prescription medicines our doctors decide what we should take to cure us.   A pharmacist fills these prescriptions but also guides us with all our medications so that we do not mix the wrong drugs and end of with even further problems.  He/She also keeps us informed about new developments with the medicines we are taking.  If there are recalls we would obviously expect a notice.

A pharmacist's job also entails making sure that we are taking the correct dosage and monitoring our well being through the whole process. Many pharmacists will give advice on OTC medications and how they may interact with our other medicines.  Many people rely on a pharmacist for advice on how to treat some chronic conditions as well.

A lot of people these days depend more on their pharmacist than they even do on their medical doctors. A good pharmacist just serves as a good reference for what to do in certain situations.  He/She can warn you about drugs that are not good together. They simply can help educate you along the way with whatever medications you are taking.
