What pharmacy settings can I work in?
You can work in any pharmacy practice settings that you choose. AHR offers pharmacy jobs in the following settings:
Retail/Community
Hospital/Inpatient
Outpatient
Correctional
Government
Long-term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility
Infusion
Closed-door
Mail Order
Can I work just part-time?
Yes, AHR offers both part-time and full-time positions so you can choose the schedule that best fits your lifestyle. Our part-time pharmacy professionals work as little or as much as they desire. Should you choose to work eight hours or 160 hours per month, we can accommodate your schedule.
How much notice will I receive before my assignment starts?
You will work with your personal representative to determine when and how often you work. Generally schedules are finalized a month in advance, however the schedule may be flexible and you have control over your schedule.
Can I take travel pharmacy jobs?
Yes, we will find travel pharmacy jobs for you in any state where you hold a current license. AHR will book and cover your travel and lodging expenses. This may include airfare, lodging, rental car, meal allowance and related expenses.
Will I work a guaranteed number of hours per week/month?
AHR cannot guarantee specific hours per day, week or month. All of the shifts we have are contingent upon our clients' demands. The more flexible you are the more likely we will be able to provide you with the dates and shifts you desire.
What if I only want to work locally?
AHR will work within the guidelines you provide us, both in terms of practice setting and geographic locations.
Can you help me find a permanent pharmacy job?
Yes, we will work with you to find the permanent pharmacy job that meets your needs. Your personal representative will work one-on-one with you to identify your ideal job location and setting. Then, AHR will work with its network of pharmacies to identify the best job matches for you.
What pay rates can I expect to receive from AHR?
Pay rates vary from region to region and are specific to your geographic area, experience and pharmacy setting. We show our appreciation for your hard work by paying 5%-10% more than industry averages for temporary pharmacy staffing. Please call your personal representative to inquire about pay rates in a geographic area you are interested in.
How often will I get paid?
You will receive a weekly paycheck. For any hours worked from Sunday to Saturday, you will be paid on the Friday of the following week.
Will I be reimbursed for drive time?
Reimbursement for drive time is available for certain assignments and is determined on a case-by-case basis. Consult your personal representative with questions.
