Hospital pharmacy technicians work with pharmacists, physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure that the best treatment option is selected for the patient.

Duties may include:

  • Read patients' charts and prepare the appropriate medication
  • Deliver medication to patients
  • Copy the information about the prescribed medication onto the patient's profile
  • Assemble a 24-hour supply of medicine for every patient, package and label each dose separately
