Infusion pharmacy directors are responsible for the direction and development of home infusion services. Directors plan, organize and supervise all daily operations of the pharmacy.

Duties may include:

  • Direct, supervise and evaluate pharmacy personnel
  • Assist in preparing the budget and monitor department finances
  • Participate in strategic planning, develop goals, objectives and timelines
  • Look for ways to improve patient care while reducing departmental and patient costs
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws, policies and procedures and accrediting body standards
  • Function as a staff pharmacist or technician when needed
